Generate Solidarity
Fuel shortages are currently endemic in Ukraine so we decided to buy “big power banks” like the ones listed below:
In the summer months these can also be charged with solar panels to be more independent.
The generators are to be delivered by our Ukrainian activists to the civilians in Kyiv and the surrounding area.
Currently (as of January 2023) it is possible purchase the generators directly in Ukraine. This saves us a lot of logistics. The purchase and related organizational tasks will be handled by Dmytro Duma.
Should it become impossible to purchase the generators in Ukraine in the future, we’ll organize the transportation of the generators to Kyiv.
The generators would then be purchased in Poland and stored there. Responsible for this are Aleksandra Iwanowska and Vivien Costanzo.
The distribution of the generators will be carried out by our Ukrainian activists, led by Bohdan Ferens and Dmytro Duma.
For transport to Kyiv we are supported by a small German NGO. Out of their desire to continue providing aid, activists around Göttingen in Germany joined forces and founded the association Initiative Humanitas e.V. represented by Louisa Baumgarten and David Wolf.
Through our various contacts, we can now draw on a growing network from Göttingen to areas directly on the front line. With the help of this network, we can ensure that the donations arrive exactly where they are needed.
A generator costs between 500-1000 euros. In order to support us in the procurement of the generators, we ask for help via our partner platform betterplace.me:
We guarantee that the support will be used exclusively for the purchase of generators and for humanitarian emergency aid in Ukraine. For legal reasons, the crowdfunding platform is in German and personalized through our activist Pavlos Wacker. We guarantee that every cent will be spent on Ukrainian civilians and give regularly financial report.
If you have any questions, please contact Bohdan Ferens or Vivien Costanzo.
Who we are
We are a private initiative consisting of SD Platform and EuropeTalks activists. We got to know each other through several projects in EuropeTalks and decided to work together for the people of Ukraine.
As activists we are part of a European Network: Our main goals are : to provide a platform for European democrats, to connect like-minded people from all over Europe and beyond and to work together for a common European vision, based on social democratic and socialist values. We want to enable people to share their values and visions on how to further develop and shape the European Union.
